After one particular cast member abandoned his job in the most recent episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Captain Glenn Shephard is forced to put him back on track. Reality show producers are always accused of manipulating storylines. There was plenty of that in Below Deck Med season 9, which recently aired. Now with Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, certain cast members are already being scrutinized over supposed signs that they're a producer plant, including Chef Cloyce Martin.
Captain Glenn Shephard warns a Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast member to be on their best behavior.
Bravo recently released a preview clip from the next episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, and as the crew gets ready for the next group of charter guests, Captain Glenn makes sure to let Chef Cloyce know he's not allowed to abandon his job again, like he did in the previous episode when he went off to have fun with the guests. Gary King, Daisy Kelliher and Cloyce meet Glenn for a preference sheet meeting, during which they discover that The Real Housewives of Dallas' Tiffany Moon is coming aboard.
In a confessional, Cloyce reveals that he's cooked for a Real Housewives star before; the reality TV celebrity was apparently very "transparent with her thoughts." While reading through the preference sheet, Captain Glenn notes that these charter guests will be expecting high standards from the Parsifal III crew. Daisy tells Cloyce that the guests are requesting a Japanese-style dinner, which he feels he can accomplish. At this point, Glenn warns the chef to be on his best behavior. "We're going to need to pull out all the stops. That means no swimming this charter, Cloyce," he demands.
What Captain Glenn’s Request Means For Chef Cloyce’s Job
Chef Cloyce's Behavior Sends Up Red Flags For Captain Glenn
Cloyce's behavior in the most recent Sailing Yacht episode sent up red flags for the captain. While the chef claimed that he was allowed to have fun during past charter jobs he's had, Below Deck is a different beast entirely. There are high standards from the captains and the guests. It's not just Coyce's behavior with the guests that has caused Glenn to be worried; his meals haven't always lived up to those high expectations. He overcooked a steak in one episode and did a terrible job preparing a recent dessert in another.
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
Due to his mistakes and unprofessional behavior, there is already speculation that Chef Cloyce could be fired from Below Deck Sailing Yacht, not to mention these mistakes could be a sign that Cloyce is a producer plant. Not helping matters are his arguments with Daisy, his inability to gel with the other cast members in general, and his overconfidence. He hasn't made a great impression with the captain, who has the power to fire him.

Chef Cloyce Needs To Get His Act Together
Just this year, another chef, Below Deck Med's Johnathan Shillingford, was on the chopping block numerous times after it became apparent he didn't have the best skills in the galley; he even served a meal that could have been detrimental to one of the guests. It appears that Chef Cloyce is following in his footsteps with his own issues on Sailing Yacht. Only time will tell if he or anyone else get fired, but Cloyce had better get his act together or Captain Glenn will be on the phone searching for a replacement.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
