NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman recently linked the New York Rangers to Center JT Miller, who plays for the Vancouver Canucks.
Miller was recently held out of the lineup due to a possible trade that fell through, and it appeared GM Chris Drury almost sealed the deal. Almost.
On Saturday night, Sportsnet's Eliotte Friedman reported that Miller was almost held out of the Vancouver Canucks' lineup against the Edmonton Oilers because the team was close to trading the veteran forward to the Rangers.
Friedman added that the deal ultimately fell through for whatever reason.
Friedman added his perspective on the situation, which at this point on Saturday seemed extremely fluid.
«Now I don't know exactly what happened but that trade is off right now. ... Things had progressed to a certain point where he was definitely not going to play,»
For now, though, it seems as if the trade has fallen through and Miller will remain a Canuck until another trade comes together.
The Canucks would defeat the Oilers 3-2, without Miller in the lineup, and would refuse to speak in regard to the situation which has been a constant source of turmoil for himself, and Pettersson.
For now, he remains a Canuck.
Whatever GM Chris Drury offered to the Canucks didn't seem to work for Patrik Allvin as the trade fell through.
Honestly is the second time we've heard of the Rangers making an offer for the 100-point forward, but failing.
Is GM Chris Drury trying to pull one over on Patrik Allvin? Or is Miller himself shooting down these trades?
