Cameran Eubanks has reached another milestone in her love story.
The Southern Charm alum took to Instagram this week to celebrate her 11th wedding anniversary with Jason Wimberly — a Charleston-based anesthesiologist she met years before her Bravo debut. She posted a throwback photo of her and Jason’s gorgeous bucolic wedding, which was held after the inaugural season of Southern Charm.
The black-and-white snap showed the happy couple walking outside, gazing into each other’s eyes after exchanging “I do’s.”
“11 years,” Cameran wrote in the April 12 Story.
Although she was in a relationship with Jason when Southern Charm Season 1 premiered, Cameran never filmed with her significant other. She addressed Jason’s decision to remain off-camera in a 2017 interview with The Daily Dish.
“He has zero desire to be on TV. I always joke that he is just a normal person and most normal people don’t want to be in the spotlight,” Cameran said. “Does this mean I am calling myself crazy? Absolutely. We all have a bit of an ego. Jason doesn’t have one, which is part of the reason I love him so much. He’s the yin to my yang.”
Cameran said Jason not only supported her decision to be on the show, but he was also good friends with several of her castmates.
“I compartmentalize Southern Charm. I don’t let it interfere with my marriage which is part of the reason Jason stays off-camera," she explained. "He is totally supportive of me filming the show and is actually a huge fan. He hangs out with Patricia [Altschul], Shep [Rose], and Whitney [Sudler-Smith] off-camera the most.”
Cameran and Jason met on a blind date about three years before tying the knot. The South Carolina native said the chemistry was instantly strong — so much so that by their second date, she knew she would marry Jason. The Southern Charm alum recalled that moment in her 2021 book, One Day You’ll Thank Me.
“It was on that date (a Prince concert) that I knew I was going to marry this man,” she wrote. “He let his guard down a bit, and I got to see his humorous side. The chemistry started kicking in. Now I really wanted to go on a third date. And, well, the rest is history.”
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Palmer Wimberly, in late 2017. Although Cameran said her love for her child was “like no other,” she decided years ago not to expand her family.
“No, I will not have more kids in the future,” she told The Daily Dish in 2018. “My husband and I had a very serious baby talk on our anniversary, and we weighed the pros and we weighed the cons. And I do not think I will be having more children.”
Cameran exited Southern Charm after Season 6. Find out where she stands with some of her ex-castmates.
