Brynn Whitfield on Why Shep Rose is a Definite "No" for Dating-quang

The RHONY cast member described the Southern Charm-er as "funny" and "sweet," but simply wasn't her "type."

Brynn Whitfield has made it clear she's no longer interested in dating Shep Rose… or any other Bravoleb, for that matter.

The Real Housewives of New York City cast member teased the potential romance during her July appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, when she asked if there were any single Bravolebrities she was excited to see at BravoCon.

“I have a little secret,” she told the show's titular host. “I think Shep’s cute. It takes one commitment-phobe to know another commitment-phobe, right?… I like Southern Charm. I’m from Indiana, so Midwest and the down south, we play dirty.”

Shep responded to the comments on the WWHL Instagram page, writing: “That’s certainly nice to hear. Thanks for thinking of me Brynn. I mean Andy could have been a little more enthusiastic about her brave (and accurate) proclamation. Perhaps he knows too much. This poses a problem.”

Brynn Whitfield and Shep Rose finally meet at BravoCon 2023

Fast-forward to early November, when Brynn and Shep finally met face-to-face at BravoCon in Las Vegas and ultimately grabbed a drink together. Although it was clear they were initially interested in one another, Andy later revealed the two had no romantic chemistry.

“Brynn I think had her eye on Shep and I don’t think that wound up [happening]...” he said during a November episode of his Sirius XM radio series, Andy Cohen Live. “I think she was like, ‘This is not, this is not gonna happen...’ So that didn’t happen.”

Brynn Whitfield on Whether Shep Rose Is Her "Type"

The RHONY ’Wife shed more light on the situation during the December 6 episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, saying she thought the Southern Charm-er was "cute" but simply wasn't her type... at least, not anymore.

“[BravoCon 2023] was the first time I met Shep,” she said. “Look, I watched like the rest of us. I watched Southern Charm, I thought he was a cutie. And he was very much the kind that I used to date. I lived in D.C. for a couple of years. I went to George Washington [University] for a semester and the Georgetown fratty type, like that? I liked that type when I was 22. I was like, ‘Oh, he’s cute. He’s tall.’”

Brynn Whitfield describes the kind of guys she dates

Brynn went on to say that Shep was “not a bad person” and considered him both “sweet” and “really funny”; however, she didn't feel “any sort of IRL (in real life) connection” with him.

“I would also never date someone that’s on a reality TV show,” she explained. “The guys I date, they own IPO companies. Like, I’m not going to date a reality TV star. Sorry, is that bitchy? But it’s the truth.”
