Speculation and rumors run the show in Cleveland this offseason, especially surrounding the quarterback position and in 2025 and the upcoming NFL Draft.

Incumbent signal caller Deshaun Watson will most likely miss the entire 2025 season after tearing his Achilles a second time in three months, and Cleveland has some work to do under center.

Experts and insiders think the Browns will take one of the top two quarterbacks in April's NFL Draft, and more specifically, will take whichever one is left if the Tennessee Titans - who have the No. 1 pick - select either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders first.

But it's not that simple. Reports have surfaced that indicate Sanders' coach at Colorado and famous father, Coach Prime, won't let his son play in Cleveland, based on the organization's seemingly inability to develop quarterbacks over the past two decades. But Browns' front office apparently doesn't think that's an issue.

“I don’t anticipate that being a problem,” Berry said.

It's a direct and blunt answer from Berry, and it's the answer he has to give. But does he really believe it?

If Tennessee takes Sanders at No. 1 then it's all a moot point. But no on really knows which direction the Titans want to go at this point. And at least one insider thinks Sanders would work better on the shores of Lake Erie.

"For Cleveland, I think Shedeur might be a little bit better rookie fit," NFL Draft expert Matt Miller said.

It's the NFL Draft and it's an inexact science. People guess. So-called "experts" even guess. While it's possible to do all the homework and analysis possible on each player, no one can possibly know how a young player will fit in an organization and how he will react when thrust into the NFL at such a young age.
