Brooklyn Beckham savagely writes dad David out of history with cutting comment – as he snubs football legend in explosive new interview with wife Nicola - suong

In their revealing first interview since the alleged Beckham war erupted, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz made their loyalties crystal clear.

The eldest Beckham child has reportedly distanced himself from his famous family after a series of rows, and a startling new comment suggests he's now trying to scrub his footballer father from his personal history.

Chef Brooklyn initially appeared to be offering an olive branch to dad David Beckham, with the name of his new hot sauce range, Cloud23, previously said to be a "warm nod" to their father-son relationship.

In response to a recent customer query left on the official website, a member of Brooklyn's team replied: "The 23 included in our brand is a warm nod to Brooklyn's father, David Beckham, who wore number 23 while playing for Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, inspired by NBA legend Michael Jordan."

However, Brooklyn himself gave a very different account when explaining the inspiration behind the branding, shattering fans' hopes for a peace offering anytime soon.

In an interview with Glamour Germany in April, Brooklyn asserted, "The 23 stands for our engagement date and my age back then."

There was no reference made to sporting legend David, who is also not mentioned anywhere on the official Cloud23 website.

Elsewhere in the interview, Brooklyn, 26, showed off his tattoos, and, just like his dad, he has many. A number of these elaborate body art pieces are tributes to his parents and younger siblings.

This includes David's birth year, 1975, inked on his thumb, while the words 'mama's boy' are emblazoned across his chest. His skin also bears the initials DVBRCH, standing of course for David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

These personal pieces of body art weren't part of the discussion about Brooklyn's tats, with the conversation instead focusing on the hot sauce proprietor's dedications to wife Nicola, and members of her family. Brooklyn told the publication: "Some mean a lot to me, like Nicola’s eyes on my neck or our wedding vows."

Nicola, 30, added: "I love it when Brooklyn gets tattoos that have a special story. He also got my mother's rosary tattooed on his hand."

It comes after Sally Baker, an accredited, award-winning senior therapist, shared her fascinating insight over the ongoing rift rumours.

She told the Mirror how some couples become even closer in the face of family rows in a bid to "prove their allegiance to each other".

Touching on the young couple's perceived identity crisis, as they break away from brand Beckham, Sally told us: "A newly married couple are forging their identity apart from their family of origin. They cannot entertain the idea that they might be in the wrong or have behaved badly. To consider that takes confidence in themselves as a couple.

"That comes with time and experience, but until then, offspring can seem blinkered and casually unkind as they carve their own path. Thankfully, most family bonds are strong and enduring. However much pain has been inflicted, families are forgiving and patiently wait for their adult child to rejoin the fold, with or without their partner in tow."
