Bronwyn Newport reportedly arrived late to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast’s recent girls trip to the Caribbean.
Weeks into production on the series’ sixth season, and just after being accused of identity theft and grand theft, Bronwyn, 39, appears to be avoiding her co-stars, which are set to include fellow returnees Mary Cosby, 52, Heather Gay, 50, Angie Katsanevas, 51, Whitney Rose, 38, Lisa Barlow, 50, and Meredith Marks, 53.
“The cast is taping their trip in the Caribbean,” an insider close to production told OK! Magazine on April 11. “Bronwyn Newport showed up late to the cast trip due to all of the heat she’s been receiving around her alleged identity theft.”
According to the report, YouTube vlogger Dana Bowling, host of Daily Dose of Dana, detailed the alleged claims being made against Bronwyn in the last few weeks, admitting that she was “not sure” if Bronwyn had truly been charged.
She also said that Instagram‘s Bravo Boo had said, “Bronwyn from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — otherwise known as Bronwyn Alison Newport Bradley — apparently she goes by both Bradley and Newport — charged with identity theft and grand theft in 2021. Both are felony charges.”
Despite the allegations, however, no mug shot was ever made public.
“I have no idea if this is true or not,” Dana shared, “but when I messaged someone that I know who is also kind of deep diving a lot of this Bronwyn stuff, I did say, ‘Hey, did you hear about this?’”
As she communicated with the IG account, who said they hadn’t initially heard about the alleged charges of identity theft and grand theft against Bronwyn, Dana was told that Bravo Boo was contacted about the alleged “fraud charges in 2018 that resulted in her being fired from her finance job.”
“There’s just something about Bronwyn that just always feels incredibly disingenuous to me,” Dana noted of Bronwyn, who joined the RHOSLC cast for season five. “It always came off very fake to me, and I couldn’t compute it.”
Dana then added that she’s seen “other lawsuits and other charges” that she was also unsure if “they’re true or not.”
As fans may have seen, news of Bronwyn’s supposed criminal past began swirling on social media at the end of last month, with Bravo Snark Side sharing screenshots of the alleged charges from March 2021.
In one post, the Superior Court of California in the County of San Francisco’s website was highlighted.
“Bronwyn Alison Newport Bradley charged with identity theft, and grand theft in 2021. Both are felony charges,” alleged a message from Bravo Boo that was re-posted by Bravo Snark Side.
Bronwyn has not yet commented publicly on the claims against her.
