On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders finally introduced new quarterback Geno Smith at the team facility in Henderson, Nevada, after trading for him earlier this offseason. During his introductory press conference, he wasted no time highlighting one of the most important players on the Raiders' roster, tight end Brock Bowers.
"Brock Bowers, you know, he's an All-Pro, one of the better tight ends in the NFL already," said Smith. "I still think he's got so much room to grow and improve, and a big part of my job is to help him do that, and he can help me improve as well."

The relationship between these two players will be paramount for the success of the Silver and Black this season. Bowers had a historic rookie campaign for the Raiders, catching 112 passes for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns despite an underwhelming trio of quarterbacks throwing him the ball.
Smith joins Las Vegas as one of the most accurate passers in the league over the last several seasons. If he can reliably get the ball to Bowers and the rest of the Raiders' pass-catchers, then the offense should be incredibly productive under new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. Passing success will also help out the rushing attack, which Las Vegas desperately needs.
