Brittany Cartwright confirmed that her previously announced bar business, Britt’s WeHo, is not happening.
On the April 4, 202,5, episode of her “When Reality Hits” podcast, “The Valley” star revealed that the restaurant connected to her proposed bar has been sold.
“They sold Rocco’s, which was what Brits was connected to. And you know, it’s all part of the same thing. The partners straight up sold it, didn’t tell me that they were going to sell it.” Cartwright told her fans.
“Didn’t communicate with me whatsoever,” she continued. “We had already, you know, completely decorated everything, like ordered everything, the wallpaper, the, the new like stuff we were going to put in. New seating, we ordered new chandeliers. We ordered everything on January 7th. So, I thought that it was happening up until like this week. They told me that it got sold. And I am pretty upset about it because I wasn’t a part of the conversation.”
Cartwright explained that the owners of the building took a “hit” amid the wildfires that swept through Southern California in January. “I understand it’s their decision, whatever they want to do. I was honored to be asked to do it anyway,” she added.
While Cartwright admitted she was disappointed that the plans had fallen through, she noted that the owners had offered her some other opportunities.
“I’m not sure that I want to,” she shared. “I have so many amazing things coming up, and I’m going to have so many other opportunities. And you know, I’m grateful that they wanted to do that with me that, but you know, I’m kind of hurt by how it went down. We’ll see what happens in the future. …Maybe it was a blessing in disguise, but we’ll see.”
Brittany Cartwright Was Caught in the Middle of a Management Decision
Cartwright’s bar was supposed to open alongside Rocco’s at 8900 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.
An insider told The U.S. Sun that new management took over the West Hollywood restaurant a few weeks ago and that Cartwright’s deal was “terminated” before the sale was completed.
“Britt’s WeHo was never part of the deal with a new team taking over, and they do not have any plans to open it in the future,” a source told the outlet. “The deal was terminated before they were involved at all. It wasn’t their call and had nothing to do with Brittany. Unfortunately, she just got caught in the crosshairs of a business decision.”
Brittany Cartwright First Announced Her Bar Venture in Late 2024 & Regularly Shared Updates With Fans
Cartwright first announced her business venture on the November 8, 2024, episode of the “When Reality Hits” podcast. She revealed that the partner involved with her estranged ex-husband, Jax Taylor’s, Studio City bar approached her with an offer to open her own bar attached to Rocco’s in West Hollywood.
“Britt’s is coming to WeHo,” Cartwright said at the time. “So, I’m going to be a part owner. I’m gonna have my own my own bar in West Hollywood. Right across from where I started, SUR.”
In February 2025, she gave fans an update, explaining that the bar was still coming but that there were delays in the opening. “I’m still opening my restaurant,” Cartwright told her listeners. “I’m so excited. Britt’s WeHo will be open opening soon, hoping like late March-ish.”
She explained that the California wildfires caused delays and that some of her business partners “got displaced.”
“I’m excited to have my own [bar] and start this new chapter of my life because it’s going to be so cute,” the Bravo TV personality said at the time. “I’m right back in West Hollywood where I started this whole crazy life in LA. So, I’m just feeling very grateful and very blessed, and I think everybody’s going to love it. It’s going to be a great place for everybody to come and see and hang out and, yeah, it’s going to be super cute, super girly. I’m excited.”
In 2023, Cartwright and Taylor opened the sports bar Jax’s Studio City. The couple split up several months later after nearly five years of marriage.
