Brittany Cartwright pulled out all the stops for her 36th birthday. On January 25, “The Valley” star hosted a birthday bash for herself that doubled as a fundraiser for Los Angeles fire victims.
Cartwright, who separated from her husband Jax Taylor in February 2024, shared photos from the party on Instagram. The “It’s Brittany B—-” party was held outdoors at Cartwright’s Valley Village home. The decor featured a vibrant floral wall and a long, elegantly decorated dining table under a tent with lights. Cartwright posed with pals Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, Nia Sanchez, Zack Wickham, Michelle Sanei, Janet Caperna, and more in photos from the dinner party.
She also explained why she hosted her own birthday party. “Everyone knows I love to host, and I go all out on my parties and after this crazy year I wanted to do something special for my friends who have been there for me every step of the way,“ she wrote. “This is a whole new year for me and basically a fresh start. I can’t wait to see what my future brings.”
Cartwright tagged party planner Picnic and Petal as well as several other vendors who helped with the party.
Brittany Cartwright Explained Why She Turned Her Birthday Party into a Fundraiser
In her post, Cartwright revealed that she turned her party into a fundraiser for victims of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles County in January 2025. “I planned all of this before the wildfires devastated California but I’m happy to say that with the help of my amazing friends, we raised thousands of dollars last night to donate to the victims to help where we can,” she shared with fans.
She told Us Weekly she wanted to give back after an “incredibly tough” year. “I asked everyone to make a donation in honor of the Los Angeles wildfires instead of bringing a gift,” she explained. “So all the funds we raised are going towards the American Red Cross Fire Relief. I also have another really exciting initiative I’m working on to raise funds for the people affected by the fires here in L.A. that will be announced soon. Anything I can do to help, I will.”

Brittany Cartwright’s 35th Birthday Was Very Different
Cartwright had a very different birthday celebration one year ago when she was still with Taylor.
According to BravoTV.com, she rang in her 35th with a night out to the Sherman Oaks steakhouse BLVD. On her Instagram stories, Cartwright explained Taylor’s absence, noting that it was a “girls-only” outing with pals Shay, Doute, and more.
The next day, the party continued with Taylor by her side at their bar Jax’s Studio City. Speaking on the couple’s “When Reality Hits” podcast, Cartwright said she was thrilled to have a daytime “Sunday Funday” birthday party while watching football on TV, the outlet noted.
While Cartwright and Taylor announced their split about a month later, in her divorce filing the Kentucky native listed their date of separation as January 24, 2025—just one day before her 35th birthday, according to People magazine.
