Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp has been bravely sharing her cancer journey with the world over the last several months. Now, sheâs opening up about why she recently had to cease her immunotherapy treatments as well as how sheâs approaching her podcast hosting duties amid being ill.
As fans know, Teddi, 44, was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. She underwent multiple surgeries in the months and years that followed. Sadly, she announced in February 2025 that doctors found several tumors. Recently, she opened up about how sheâs been processing everything in an extensive discussion with her friend Kyle Richards, 56.Â
Teddi discussed her immunotherapy treatments on the July 23 episode of her Two Ts In a Pod podcast and stated how it had been negatively impacting her.
The former RHOBH star said, via US Weekly, âEssentially, what we figured out with me was, yes, I started out feeling great, and I could do all the pods and I could do all these things, and I could go to all my daughterâs horse shows and I could stay at my house by myself, and I felt really strong.â
âAnd whatâs happening with me is the longer that Iâm on immunotherapy, the sicker itâs making me,â she continued. âSo weâre going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger. And Iâm on steroids and weâre doing everything that we can to get me back to feeling like I, you know, I can do this, I can do all the things.â
Teddi also spoke about how her diagnosis has changed her experience with people in her life. She explained, âItâs changed my kidsâ lives. Itâs changed my relationship with Edwin. You guys all know that we were filing for divorce. Nothingâs changed in that other than that weâre on hold because of whatâs happening to me medically. But heâs had to step in and help me because some days I canât do it.â
Additionally, she discussed how it impacts her as a podcast host and how there are sometimes instances where someone else needs to host the show in her place. According to Teddi, âSo, a lot of things have gone on in the last two days. I cannot control exactly how I feel on each given day.â
Teddi then said, âOn the days that I feel really good, I wanna take advantage of it, and on the days that I feel terrible, I have to listen to my body. So, if I ever feel like I canât give a good pod, I would rather have somebody step in and do a good one and do it on time so that youâre in the moment.â
âSo, weâre really working with a team of people to try to get me as healthy as possible,â she continued. âAnd itâs scary, and I feel less than on the days that I canât show up and be here for you guys, because itâs something I look forward to so much.â
From there, Teddi briefly discussed the recent break-in attempt that happened at her home. According to her, âWe had somebody come and try to break into the house. Thankfully, we were all safe and good, but like weâre kind of⊠weâre shaken up around here.â
