Gia Giudice is speaking out about rumors she was fired by Bravo after starring on season 1 of Next Gen NYC.
âI feel like something big that has been talked about so much is one, me being fired from Bravo and two, me having this crazy Rutgers plagiarism scandal,â Gia, 24, began the Thursday, June 26, episode of her âCasual Chaosâ podcast in her new âGia Diariesâ segment.
Gia noted she would âtouch on me getting fired from Bravo first,â claiming, âThatâs not true. I am very much still working with Bravo.â
The Next Gen NYC star joked, âI know that is a shock, a heartbreak to all of you,â but insisted it was the truth.
Gia added, âIâm actually going to a red carpet tonight with Amazon Prime for a movie premiere that Bravo invited me to. So very in the loop with Bravo.â
The reality star, who is the daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice, called the network âamazing.â Gia reiterated, âThey are the network that I work for. I donât even know how that rumor transpired. Very weird.â
Gia proceeded to poke fun at her haters, saying, âSorry to break it to you, but news is not real. I am still with Bravo. Sorry you will still be seeing me on your TV screens.â
Earlier this month, rumors surfaced that Gia was fired from Next Gen NYC â which stars several Real Housewives children as they navigate living in the Big Apple in their early 20s â after she was allegedly involved in a cheating scandal at her university.
Gia cleared up the rumors surrounding her time at Rutgers University, noting on Thursdayâs podcast that she graduated âtwo years ago with all my chords, my diploma. I moved my tassel to the other side.â
She claimed that âitâs just not trueâ that she had allegedly plagiarized while attending the prestigious school.
âIf I was involved in some crazy plagiarism scandal, one, I wouldâve failed the class. Two, I probably wouldnât have graduated,â Gia explained. âRutgers takes cheating and plagiarism very seriously.â
She told her listeners that this rumor was âagain, just another clickbait, people using my name for story lines.â
âI really donât let story lines or headlines upset me at all,â Gia confessed, noting that she just âblocks out the noise.â
Real Housewives producer Andy Cohen also commented on the speculation that Gia had caused drama filming Next Gen NYC and was no longer part of Bravo, coming to her defense in the process.
âI am not a producer of Next Gen NYC. This is the first I am hearing of any discord surrounding Gia,â Cohen, 57, said on the Monday, June 23, episode of SiriusXMâs Andy Cohen Live. âAnd I certainly only have positive feelings for Gia and her mom, Teresa, the OG of New Jersey.â
