Emily Simpson and Shane Simpson's marriage is still going strong, in spite of the rumors that suggest otherwise.
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member recently spoke with Access Hollywood's Housewives Nightcap podcast, where she admitted that she and Shane have experienced their struggles in their marriage. She revealed that things especially took a toll on them while they were filming RHOC Season 19, and the pair faced some struggles in their family (more on that below).
"Shane and I were in the trenches during those, you know, four months of filming, and even afterward, it was very brutal on our marriage," she admitted. "We weren't on the same page. We were parenting differently."
Emily further told Housewives Nightcap that this was among the challenges in her relationship with Shane. "We were just, every day, it was like waking up and just trying to get through the day and struggling and going to bed and crying at night," she admitted. "And then waking up and then doing it again the next day. And I just thought this is either going to make us or break us."
She continued: "I mean, clearly we're still together, we're not getting a divorce. I mean, wait, we've had challenging things. We've been married almost 17 years now. "

Emily admitted that things were complicated between her and Shane during the RHOC Season 19 trailer. In the video above, Emily revealed that one of their 10-year-old twins, Luke, was dealing with a health issue. "Luke, he's sad, and it breaks my heart," Emily told Shane.
"I have a son that's in crisis, and I feel alone in that," Emily said in a voiceover. "We're gonna end up divorced."

Although they have experienced their struggles together, Shane is still Emily's "best friend" and biggest supporter. Emily took to Instagram in April, where she posted a video of her all dressed up, while Shane admired her outfit.
"Marriage advice 101: Marry your best friend and biggest cheerleader," she wrote.

Before that, Emily took to Instagram in March, where she posted a video explaining the "three reasons" why she would never divorce Shane. "1. I'd be doing him a favor; and I don't do favors," she wrote over the video.
"2. He'd have a lot more money without me, so I need to keep him motivated," she added. "3. His life would be too peaceful and calm. Living with me teaches him how to handle chaos and insanity."
