BREAKING NEWS: Raiders Shake Things Up by Announcing Gardner Minshew Amid Six-Game Losing Streak - suong

The Las Vegas Raiders are currently in the middle of a six-game losing skid, and there are no signs of their schedule getting any easier.

The team has tried a couple of different things to find a spark, whether it be making a quarterback change multiple times or even changing up the offensive staff. However, there has yet to be an effective solution that's helped the team turn things around.

While head coach Antonio Pierce may be coaching for his job down the stretch, winning games will only hurt the team's chances of securing a prominent draft pick. Regardless, the head coach revealed last week, prior to the team's Week 11 loss to the Miami Dolphins, that quarterback Gardner Minshew gives them the best chance to win.

That being said, it's been abundantly clear that Minshew isn't working out how the Raiders had hoped. Despite his struggles, Pierce made it clear this past week that they wanted to give him a fair shot moving forward and announced on Monday that he'd be starting against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

As confirmed by Paul Gutierrez of ESPN, Aidan O'Connell isn't eligible to be removed from IR until the next week.

Minshew has struggled to protect the ball this season, throwing for over 1,700 yards with eight touchdowns to nine picks, while posting a 39.1 QBR.
