The first episode of the new BIP season ended in the elimination of four of the male contestants at the rose ceremony. The rose ceremonies are a tradition among all the Bachelor Nation shows. But Season 10 is dumping the rose ceremonies later in the season. Keep reading to find out what that means for the contestants.
Season 10 Contestants Could Get Massive Payday
The entire premise of Bachelor In Paradise is to give previous rejected Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants another chance at finding love while enjoying the sun and vibe of Mexico. But the new season left Mexico and the heat behind. Season 10 was filmed at a fancy resort in Costa Rica which provided the contestants with air-conditioned rooms.
That’s just one of the changes that the show underwent while it was on pause for the last year. The cameras were upgraded to give the visuals a more Love Island feel. Many viewers hate the changes, even accusing the show of using AI to create some scenes.

The drama among the contestants is still simmering. Justin Glaze’s ex, Susie Evans, joins the beach next week. Her arrival is sure to put a damper on his connection with Lexie Young. Bachelor In Paradise is airing on Monday and Tuesday next week. Tuesday’s episode marks the arrival of the Golden cast.
ABC dropped the full trailer for the season after the first episode aired. The teaser previews love triangles and hookups, but one of the biggest shocks was the bag of money on the beach.
Jesse Palmer teased that the contestants would have to choose between love and money. As we previously reported, Season 10 will have a cash prize for the first time. But that’s not the only huge change viewers can expect.
BIP Dumps Rose Ceremony Eliminations
Reality Steve has been spoiling Bachelor Nation shows for over two decades. He was the first to report that Season 13 Bachelor Jason Mesnick would dump Melissa Rycroft for his runner-up, Molly Malaney (now Mesnick.)
According to his sources, there are only a few rose ceremonies on Season 10 of Bachelor In Paradise. Furthermore, he claims that the season has a limited number of contestants instead of the usual 20-30 arrivals.
Instead, Season 10 only had 12 younger women, 12 younger men, and 12 Golden contestants. The significance of the number twelve could relate to the decision to dump the rose ceremonies.
Reality Steve’s sources revealed that instead of a rose ceremony, the contestants will be voted out like on Survivor and other reality shows. However, the insider didn’t reveal all the details about the new elimination process.

“I don’t know if they vote as a twosome. I don’t know if the twosomes vote separately, but it is a voting out of who is to leave the game next,” Reality Steve said about the eliminations.
