BIG Brother star Rylie Jeffries has broken down in tears on tonight's episode after he ‘threw away his game’ in a shocking sacrifice for love interest Katherine Woodman.
Rylie, 27, started off the week on a high when he won the coveted Head of Household position on Sunday’s episode - but tonight, his castle quickly crumbled.
An unexpected twist led him to quickly lose the most powerful spot in the house to be in - which he did not initially take well.
The Oklahoma native broke down in tears after Mickey Lee activated her secret power, HoH Interrogation.
The power move allowed her to activate it on a week she felt she might be in trouble - and when she heard about Rylie targeting several of her allies, she chose to use it this week.
Rylie was unable to undo the move, leaving him stripped of his power and the house’s VIP suite - which was then given to Mickey, who took over the role.
To make matters worse, Rylie was betrayed yet again when Mickey decided to put him on the chopping block alongside Keanu Soto, and once again, challenge beast Kelley Jorgensen.
Despite being at risk of elimination, Rylie didn’t even seem concerned that he might go home and focused solely on saving Katherine, 23, from also being put on the chopping block.
He even admitted that if he won the Power of Veto, he would not take himself off the block and risk his love interest being put on.
Rylie then spent the next day talking to the household about how he wants to do “whatever it takes” to protect Katherine - even if that means he is the one who goes home.
Fans were floored that Rylie was "giving up" on the game he worked so hard to be a part of for someone he had only known a few weeks.
“Rylie is throwing his entire game away for a crush. They’ve known each other for 3 weeks. This is wild, “ one viewer wrote.
"He's so blinded by his crush that he's truly wasting this entire opportunity," another insisted.
Ultimately, Katherine was spared from the chopping block as Mickey shocked the household by picking Jimmy Heagerty.
Rylie seemed relieved that Katherine was not the one chosen; however, the disappointment also set in that he’s still up for eviction on Thursday.
YOUNG LOVE
The showmance between Rylie and Katherine has been heating up as fans of the CBS reality show lost it earlier this week after the show’s 24/7 live cams revealed a private moment between the couple.
On Monday night's live feed, the bull rider was cuddling on the couch with the fine dining server from Georgia as they had a serious conversation.
Katherine had her legs draped over Rylie as they lay under the same teal blanket.
In the middle of the chat, she moves and lifts the blanket up, which exposed a big bulge that can be seen in Rylie’s shorts.
Seemingly aware that it was an inopportune moment to reveal his crotch area, Rylie immediately appears panicked and covers the body part with his hand.
“You’re not… don’t,” he tells Katherine, who seems confused and responds, asking, “don’t what?”
Rylie then uncomfortably shifts around, looking around at the nearby cameras, and moving the blanket back over his legs.
“Don’t uncover me! You’re not getting up,” he then snapped at Katherine, who appeared confused by the whole encounter.
THAT'S SHOWMANCE
Katherine admitted that she “could be open” to a showmance before she joined the Big Brother house for season 27.
While Rylie professed that he was on the show “to win,” he claimed he was less interested in pursuing an on-screen romance.
However, he said when it comes to a relationship, he is seeking “the same amount of genuine love and care” that he boasts he brings to the table.
Although the show is less than a month into the new season, the chemistry between Rylie and Katherine has been heating up as the two enter a full-blown showmance.
Their close connection became more public to the other Houseguests this past week when Rylie tearfully vowed to protect Katherine against being put on the chopping block.
“I don’t want it to seem like I’m trying to protect her in that kind of way. I just want her to at least have a chance.
“I promised her I’d take care of her and today I just felt like I failed her. You know?” Rylie told returning player Rachel Reilly.
Former winner Rachel responded that he was being “very sweet and romantic” to Katherine before Rylie professed his love for his co-star.
“The only thing that sucks is if people love me, they should love the person I love and trust that she’ll be there for them, just like I would.
“Because I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t know that was true. Seeing her hurt, knowing she could potentially go on the block, it kills me,” Rylie confessed as he wiped away tears.
