BIG Brother contestant Jimmy Heagerty went on the show to seek ‘fame’ and even studied other reality shows in hopes of providing ‘iconic’ on-camera moments, an insider told The U.S. Sun.
The season 27 houseguest has been called out
“I thought we had a great chat yesterday. I thought we shook hands. I thought I could trust you.
“Honestly, you were completely off my radar. But to hear you going around the house, advocating for me to be on the chopping block this week and calling me a snake…
“That’s absolute bulls**t! And I want everyone to hear this because we’re not doing this chirp chirp chirp bulls**t anymore.
“You say I’m fake. Well the only thing fake about me are these damn sunglasses,” Jimmy yelled out as he dramatically threw the sunglasses across the room.
“I’m sick of this. I want everyone to hear me loud and clear. I am gunning for you! So buckle up buddy, this snake has a bite,” he said to a room full of dropped jaws.
The theatrics haven’t been working for a lot of the fanbase, with one saying: “I am BEGGING for Jimmy to be a pre-jury flop. I’m tired of his rehearsed speeches and him thinking he’s the main character.”
“Jimmy that did not gag like you wanted to boo, Keanu lowkey ate you up with the ‘how long did that take you to rehearse,’” another wrote.
One more insisted: “Jimmy did not deliver. That was some low-budget real housewives s**t.
“This is Big Brother. Also it didn’t help that he literally rehearsed what he was going to do to half the house before he did it.”
Fans also called for the show to reprimand Jimmy after he was caught "breaking" the show rules on this week's live feeds.
Big Brother airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8pm EST on CBS with live feeds airing 24/7 on Paramount+.
by viewers for overusing “rehearsed” one-liners and has been accused of playing up the theatrics for increased screen time.
Jimmy, 25, is an AI consultant based in Washington, D.C. but originally from Sarasota, Florida.
He made an early splash on the show when he went after rival, Keanu Soto, during week one in a heated “meltdown” in the veto meeting.
Although Jimmy appeared to be swinging for a big moment, many viewers accused him of rehearsing his grand monologue in hopes the drama would make him a fan-favorite.
According to a friend of Jimmy’s from before he entered the Big Brother house, the tech worker had a grand plan for his reality performance all along - and even went as far as to “study” other shows to prepare him.
"Getting on Big Brother was a literal dream come true for Jimmy. He took it very seriously, to say the least.
“Maybe too seriously. He studied reality TV for weeks to prep him with gameplay and give him a better chance of having those iconic on-camera moments.
“He studied how they talk to each other and brought drama to Housewives, Traitors, some RuPaul, and other shows. And obviously he dissected past Big Brother seasons,” the source claimed.
The insider continued to explain: “He not only watched those for strategy but also to see what would get him good camera time and make him a talked-about character.
“He is in between jobs right now and, rightfully, wants to use this as an opportunity to launch whatever is next in his career.
“I don't blame him, he was done dirty by his old job so good on him. Get that bag!
“But in addition to being there for the money, yes, I think he’s there for the fame too.”
In his Big Brother intro video, Jimmy revealed that he had recently been working a government job in AI; however, he was let go during mass layoffs earlier this year.
He said he found out he had lost his job on Twitter and has not since landed a full-time gig - leaving his schedule open to enter the BB27 house.
MY HOUSE, MY RULES
Jimmy caused quite a stir in week one - getting into a tense confrontation with his nemesis, Keanu.
During the veto meeting before season 27’s first elimination, Jimmy addressed Keanu directly in front of the entire household.
