Bethenny Frankel educated Teresa Giudice‘s dorter, Gia Giudice, on the importance of a prenup and financial literacy after news broke her mom and Louie Ruelas owe about $3M in tax liens.
After a slew of comments asking for B’s rebuttal to Gia’s clapback, the Real Housewives of New York alum gave sage advice to Gia, her sisters, and quite frankly, everyone.
‘B’ Smart:
The Real Housewives of New Jersey personality, who saw both parents go to prison for financial crimes, was given a lesson by the self-made multi-millionaire.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re poor or rich, who has what … you sign a prenup. The daughter did say that she didn’t like that her father made her mother sign a prenup.”
Bethenny believes Gia is ill-advised and not educated on this topic. “She just doesn’t know.”
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but …
“It’s about being financially literate,” explained Bethenny. “Women – as they get more powerful in society – need to get more powerful financially. The doe-eyed, ‘ I just shop and go out to lunch,’ goes sideways when someone passes away [or] through a divorce.”
Bethenny declared, “Women need to know what the hell is going on with their finances and in their household.”
“Love is blind and you can’t just be trusting,” which is how B sees Teresa with Louie.
Bethenny spoke for many in her comments who have “been f*cked so well in the wrong way financially because we believed in the best of everything. We had rose-colored glasses on.”
“So, I don’t really give a sh*t about what anyone has to say because I’m not playing to the masses here. To [Teresa’s] daughters supporting their mom … enjoy. I’d never go after her kid. It’s none of my business what [Teresa] thinks of what I said. I didn’t say it for [Teresa]; I said it for [Gia].”
