Bonnie suffered the injuries while heading home in Koh Tao after driver of the moped hit a fence.

She was in intensive care in a Thai hospital where she received seven surgeries, including an emergency operation for an infection in her head.

The infection has worsened as they removed part of her skull in her forehead, as a last resort to save her life.

The doctors are currently monitoring her infection as it still hasn't cleared yet.

Bonnie wouldn't be able to do much for the next six months and will need surgery later in the year to put a plate in her skull.

Her insurance policy expired two weeks before the accident, resulting in huge medical bills of over €140,000 - which are continuing to climb as she requires more medical attention and support from doctors.

The family hopes to bring Bonnie home next month for her to recover in Ireland and get treatment at their local hospital.

Bonnie's sister, Daisy, who starred in the popular Below Deck series, launched the GoFundMe to raise funds to support her sister's battle.
