Below Deck season 12: Meet the new and returning yachties getting sloppy on the high seas

  • Below Deck season 12 premieres on June 2 with Kerry Titheradge returning as captain after joining the mothership last season.
  • Returning yachties include chief stew Fraser Olender and deckhand Kyle Stillie.
  • A religious chef and a Love Island France alum are among the new crew members joining the season.

A siren song beckons to Bravo for yet another season of Below Deck's brand of maritime debauchery.

The Below Deck mothership, from which such spinoffs as Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Sailing Yacht were born, is back for season 12, bringing with it Captain Kerry Titheradge, a handful of other familiar faces, and a slew of new stews and deckhands ready to get sloppy on choppy waters.

As we see in Bravo's first look at the season, the yacht will island hop across the Caribbean, visiting the likes of Sint Maarten, Anguilla, and St. Barths. In between seaside parties, pillow fights, and rows across a bioluminescent bay, a guest roster of rude elites, party animals, and adult film stars will test the "beautifully incestuous" crew's work ethic (and inevitably drive them into each other's arms).

In anticipation of the madness to come, let's reacquaint ourselves with the returning sailors and get to know the new faces, one of whom you may recognize from Love Island France. Here is Entertainment Weekly's season 12 cast guide for Below Deck.

Role: Captain

What to know: Captain Kerry Titheradge led the 2022 spinoff Below Deck Adventure before taking control of the mothership in season 11. The charismatic and commanding Australian handled himself ably, bidding farewell to his first Below Deck crew by telling them he'd "never seen a team work together as well."

If the trailer is any indication, season 12 may serve up choppier waters. Canceled charters, maritime police, forgotten luggage, and a crew firing are all teased in the season 12 trailer, with Captain Kerry at the forefront.

"There's one authority on this boat and it's me," he asserts. "I'm not f---ing around."

Fraser Olender

Role: Chief Steward

What to know: Fraser Olender began his Below Deck voyage as a steward on season 9. The London-born professional graduated to chief steward for seasons 10 and 11, and will again oversee the ship's interior operations and cleanliness.

Fraser is known for his high standards, but he's not so rigid that he won't break his own rules on occasion. On season 11, for example, he kissed a guest, typically a no-no. But while he remains frisky this season, he only appears to trade tongues with his colleagues. Yes, multiple.

Kyle Stillie

Role: Deckhand

What to know: Kyle Stillie will again serve as a deckhand after joining Below Deck in season 11. Don't be surprised, though, if the kilt-loving Scot is the one who gets axed. As the season's trailer teases, Kyle appears to cross not one, but several lines.

"The crew think you've banged a charter guest," Captain Kerry says to Kyle. And not just any guest, but a married one!

Below Deck EP admits sometimes casting misses are made: 'Some people freak out'

Calling it the most "explosive" storyline he's been a part of on Below Deck thus far, Fraser told Us Weekly, "This situation then was the catalyst of so many other problems. And this really did spiral into something that no one saw coming. So it's the beginning of the end."

Lawrence Snowden

Role: Chef

What to know: The U.K.-born Lawrence Snowden, a new addition to Below Deck, stands out for his Christian faith, which he wears proudly.

"Everyone thinks that chefs are angry all the time, but once you get the Holy Spirit inside of you, God changes you into a different person," Snowden says in the trailer.

That sounds lovely and all, but, as EW has previously noted, chefs on Below Deck tend to "[go] insane immediately (or eventually) because cooking 5-star food in a tiny kitchen (while throwing scraps together for the crew mess) is a high-tension 30-hour-a-day job."

We're praying for you, Lawrence.

Solène Favreau

Bravo

Role: Stewardess

Instagram: @solene22flmrz

What to know: Solène is bound to be one of the more controversial cast members this season, given that she comes to the series with just 22 days of experience in the industry — the majority of the crew have years under their belts. This is the kind of show, after all, where you have to be both entertaining and good at your job.

She's also a reality TV alum, having previously appeared on season 2 of Love Island France.

The Below Deck trailer highlights one woman excoriating another "wannabe-famous" cast member for being "lazy," saying they "can't even do the f---ing job." Could they be talking about Solène?

What to know: Barbara Kulaif was born in Brazil and brings three years of industry experience to Below Deck. As her Instragram demonstrates, she continues to sail the globe on luxury yachts, most recently in the Galapagos.

What to know: Rainbeau de Roos, who claims to be from "the world," comes to Below Deck with five years of experience serving guests on the open seas.

"I didn’t come to play — I came to stir the pot while serving looks and the charter guests," reads one of her recent Instagram posts.

Caio Poltronieri

Role: Bosun

What to know: Bosun Caio Poltronieri, a surfer and guitar player from Rio de Janeiro, will oversee the deckhands on season 12 of Below Deck.

The gig may be one he's still getting used to, however, as a synopsis for the season teases that he'll spend it "figuring out how to manage his team."

Jess Theron

What to know: South Africa-born Jess Theron is an athlete, surfer, and motorcycle enthusiast.

"Making waves, tying knots, and stirring the pot," she wrote in an Instagram post promoting the season.

When asked to describe her time on Below Deck in three words, Jess told Bravo: "Drama, drama, drama!"

Damo Yorg

What to know: Aussie deckhand Damo Yorg looks to be one of the wilder new cast members on Below Deck season 12, describing himself in the trailer as having "Peter Pan syndrome," adding, I don't ever wanna grow up."

"I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to my friends and family," he wrote on Instagram. "Brace yourself."
