Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Should Be Daisy Kelliher's Last Season She's Damaging The Show

Daisy Kelliher has had a rough couple of seasons on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and it's time for her to leave the show. The Chief Stew is a vital component on the show, especially given the departure of Chief Engineer Colin Macrae after Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4. Captain Glenn Shephard is back at the helm on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, and Gary King has returned despite his sexual misconduct behind the scenes last season. While Daisy is a perennially popular character, her time in the franchise might be over.

Daisy found herself in the middle of a love triangle between Gary and Colin in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4. She and Colin began to explore a deeper romantic connection, much to the dismay of Gary, who expressed feelings of jealousy despite his previously casual attitude towards their friends with benefits type connection. This complicated the dynamic between the three of them, creating some of the season's most dramatic moments. The love triangle is probably why Colin chose not to return to the show, despite being one of the best members of the crew.

Daisy's Had A Troubled History In BDSY

The Love Triangle Created Interpersonal Issues

So far, Daisy's journey on Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been pretty tumultuous. While things were smooth sailing for her first two seasons on the show, everything changed in season 4. The love triangle with Gary and Colin was complicated, and she's still suffering the consequences of their issues.

Daisy, Colin, and Gary all used to be friends, but their relationships were complicated by romance.

Daisy's romance with Colin created most of the drama in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4. Before the season, Daisy and Colin had a brief hookup, and their relationship intensified during the show. However, Daisy and Gary had secretly hooked up before, and this came to light during season 4. This created tension between Colin and Gary, who were close friends before the love triangle transpired. As the season progressed, Colin learned about Daisy's history with Gary, and the relationship between the three only got worse.

Daisy Is Not Focused On Her Job

She Is Focused On Her Personal Problems

Unfortunately, the aftermath of Daisy's love triangle is impacting her job performance in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. Daisy's presence on the hit Bravo series is bringing the rest of the crew down. So far in season 5, Daisy is struggling with her emotions following the breakup. She felt abandoned by Gary, who she had hoped would support her through her difficult time with Colin. However, Gary has distanced himself from Daisy, exacerbating her feelings of loneliness.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Thus far, this season has marked a shift in her relationship with Gary, as she expressed reluctance to interact with him due to his behavior in the previous season. Daisy defended Gary after accusations from last season came to light, but their friendship has all but disintegrated. This has impacted Daisy's job performance, making her an ineffective chief stew.

A Fresh Face Chief Stew Would Improve BDSY

The Priority Should Be Replacing Gary

Replacing Daisy as Chief Stew could be a good choice to freshen dynamics on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Daisy has been great, but her focus has shifted. Her sister suffered a debilitating injury in Thailand, and she's still hurt from the love triangle with Colin and Gary. However, the focus should be on replacing Gary. Below Deck Sailing Yacht producers didn't handle this sexual misconduct appropriately, and Gary needs to leave the show. After that, Bravo can find an adequate replacement for Daisy.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
