Temperatures and tensions rising in the galley isn't exactly uncommon on Below Deck, and as you can see in the video above, Season 12 will be no exception.
In the above first look at the Season 12 premiere (set to air June 2 at 8/7c), chef Lawrence Snowden feels the heat in the kitchen as he struggles with his new galley — and the filming process.
While sorting out his new workspace, Lawrence requests, “So, would you just mind not filming while I get this piece of equipment out, please?"
After learning he’s not supposed to break the fourth wall and speak directly to the camera operators, he asks with a laugh, “It’s going to be a long six weeks, isn’t it?”
Captain Kerry Titheradge then stops by the galley to reassure Lawrence.
“We got a big boat," he says. "If you feel yourself getting snowed under and you need some extra help, don’t try to take it all on for yourself."
When provisions begin to get loaded onto the yacht, Lawrence's stress levels only increase.
“Provisions come in. You don’t have a home for everything," Lawrence explains in a confessional. "You don’t know where everything is.”
“This is f—king bulls—t,” he says while pacing, before calling the situation “absolute bollocks.”
Further adding to Lawrence's concerns? Navigating his new job with a camera crew.
“On top of this you’ve got just cameras in your face, watching your every move." he says in a confessional. "There’s no hiding. Oh, what the f—k."
Who is Below Deck chef Lawrence Snowden?
Lawrence will be in charge of the galley as the St. David churns through the open seas near St. Maarten in Season 12 of Below Deck.
He calls Sheffield, United Kingdom home, and in his time off boats, he visits with friends and family and renovates houses, according to his BravoTV.com bio. He has six years of experience in the yachting industry.
Lawrence reveals more about himself in the first look.
“I’ve been pretty low, like a lot of my 20s. Short-temperedness. Anger. Addictions,” he says. “There was a point in my life where I started reading the bible and I became a born-again Christian. My faith guides me through stressful situations.”
Who is returning for Season 12 of Below Deck?
Besides Captain Kerry, two more past crew members are returning for another charter season on board the St. David. Chief Stew Fraser Olender called the season “crew-licious, scandalous and triumphant” in his BravoTV.com bio. Deckhand Kyle Stillie also returns, and commented in his bio, “Last year was pretty f—king good. This year was pretty f—king wild.”
