A charter guest on Below Deck season 12 has left an indelible mark by becoming the first passenger in franchise history to have the police called on them due to bad behavior.
Things started out on a good note when a group of New Yorkers arrived in the Caribbean in episode 9, "A Holiday in Handcuffs," with the guests gushing over the setup arranged for their time at sea — but the situation quickly went south as crew members suspected that at least one of guests was already soused from the ride over.
"I'm ready for Jack Daniels," charter guest Kelly proclaimed after hooting at the beginning of dinner and being chastised by her lingerie company colleagues.
"Kelly, zip it," a fellow guest commanded as crew members began dishing out dinner and Kelly continued to howl.
"I'm not effed up, I'm super-up," Kelly shot back.
"Oh, my God. These people," crew member Bárbara lamented in the galley.
The crew members weren't the only ones over Kelly's behavior. "Kelly, if you drink less, we can enjoy more," another one of her associates told her. But Kelly continued to drink, even refusing several portions of the meal that the rest of her group was enjoying.
When Fraser reminded Kelly to "be aware" of how much she was drinking if she wanted to jet-ski, she pushed back. "You don't know our tolerance," Kelly asserted, to which Fraser responded, "We can see your tolerance."
In a confessional, a crew member described Kelly as "s‑‑‑faced" and said she "had to be chugging bottles of champagne in the taxi on the way over."
Captain Kerry attempted to nip the situation in the bud, asking his crew to "keep an eye on her" and suggesting they mix in some sparkling water between glasses of bubbly.
But Kelly continued resisting instructions from both Captain Kerry and the crew members, including orders to wear a life jacket if she wanted to get on the water. Kelly even jumped off the tender and swam away, telling the captain that she "could care less about your stupid yacht," which Kerry called a "big f‑‑‑ you" in a confessional.
"When I ask you specifically not to do something, and you go right against what I say, we've got a friggin' problem," he added.
When Kelly eventually returned, Kerry informed her that he would be calling French authorities, which she responded to by cursing the crew out as her friends tried to calm her down.
It was the first time in Below Deck history that police were called to deal with a passenger-related incident, PEOPLE confirmed.
The episode ended just as the authorities arrived at the boat amid Kelly's claims that the crew members had been treating her "like filth" and she would be calling the FBI.
New episodes of Below Deck premiere Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
