Though Jacqui Burfoot told everyone to watch The Block if they wanted a show about property, somehow, MAFS Australia season 12 became a battle of homes when Clint Rice rudely told Ryan Donnelly, “You’re from the Western suburbs, don’t talk to me.”
The controversial moment sparked a huge amount of pushback from those residing in the Western suburbs, more commonly known as Western Sydney. Soon enough, Clint cleared up his comments in a dramatic confrontation with a troll who told him to “watch your back.”
“I’ve copped it my whole life for being from Tassie. And I just snapped back in the moment. I said, ‘You’re from the Western suburbs, don’t talk to me.’ It was just us having a go at each other. I’ve got nothing against Western Sydney at all,” he explained.
Still, Clint’s apparent wealth and his admittedly gorgeous mansion in Tasmania became a huge plot during both MAFS and the months afterwards. After noticing the narrative, professional property valuer Belinda Botzolis broke down the figures.
MAFS’ Clint lives in a mansion, but how spenny is it?

We have already established that Clint Rice resides in Tasmania on a newly built property, which he designed himself. It boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a tennis court, a putting green, a gym, a bar, a home theatre and a golf simulator, with the listing site describing it as “not just a home, but a lifestyle retreat.”
It’s got about as much personality as Clint himself and low-key looks like a retail estate from a bird’s eye view, but we’re not here to critique his design.
In her video, Belinda estimated that Clint’s property would be worth around $2.2 million, but no more than $2.5 million. It’s certainly an impressive piece of land, but the location undoubtedly factors into the price point. Should Clint move to Sydney, the properties he could purchase from selling his mansion are notably smaller, rundown, and in need of some TLC.
Okay, so what about Ryan’s?

Ryan Donnelly’s southwestern Sydney duplex is in an area where the median property value is around $891k, according to Belinda. Unfortunately, as a Duplex, she estimated Ryan’s house to be somewhere in the $780k to $800k range.
So yes, Clint did win the battle of the MAFS houses, but he still needs to take a chill pill because half of his house is still owned by his former girlfriend.
