Basketball Player Jeff Coby, 31, Says He's 'Getting Married' to Larsa Pippen, 50, Just Weeks After They Debuted Their Romance-quang

The athlete and 'The Real Housewives of Miami' star made their red carpet debut as a couple on April 16

Wedding bells may be ringing for Jeff Coby and Larsa Pippen.

Less than three weeks after their red carpet debut as a couple, Coby told paparazzi that he plans on marrying his new girlfriend in six months, according to a video obtained by TMZ.

In the footage taken on Sunday, May 4, the former professional basketball player, 31, and The Real Housewives of Miami star, 50, were walking hand-in-hand outside an event in Miami when they were approached by paparazzi. The pair were repeatedly asked if they're "happy" in their relationship.

PEOPLE confirmed in early April that the two have been dating since the beginning of the year, and on April 13 Larsa and Coby were spotted kissing and hugging in a parking garage in Miami.

"We're getting married 2025-6," Coby told the paparazzi. "We're getting married. It's gonna be a beautiful marriage. November 2025."

His comment was made jokingly, as made clear by Larsa's reaction. She smiled, looked down and momentarily hid her face behind her cellphone, as if in disbelief that her new boyfriend said such a thing.

The paparazzi then asked Coby if he had proposed or if this was his way of popping the question.

"I can't tell you when I'm gonna propose," he responded.

PEOPLE reached out to Larsa's rep for comment.

Coby and Larsa walked the red carpet at the premiere of The Accountant 2 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on April 16.

Their red carpet debut occurred nine months after the Bravo star split from her previous boyfriend, Marcus Jordan. Prior to dating Jordan, Larsa was married to Chicago Bulls vet Scottie Pippen. They finalized their divorce in December 2021 after filing in October 2016 following 19 years of marriage. The exes share four children: sons Scotty Jr., 24, Preston, 23, and Justin, 20, and daughter Sophia, 16.

A first look at season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami starring Larsa dropped on Wednesday, April 30, revealing where the women stand as they navigate the end of relationships, friendship fractures and new beginnings. 

Returning this season alongside Larsa are Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova and Alexia Nepola, along with newbie Stephanie Shojaee. Kiki Barth, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton are also back on our screens as friends.
