The 36-year-old Colorado-born reality star took to Instagram to reveal his horror flight this week.
Blake, who shot to fame on the 14th season of The Bachelorette, has detailed the "most insane" thing that happened to him while mid-flight.
"The most insane thing happened, 10 min after takeoff today we got...
"STRUCK BY LIGHTNING," he penned on his Instagram stories.
He added: "It broke the cockpit window and we had to turn around and emergency land.
"Pilot said 1/1000000 chance.
"Thank God it didn't hit an engine.
"Somebody watching over us," he concluded.
On the next slide, Blake shared a snap of the cockpit and the shattered windows.
"Shout out to the pilots and whoever made these windows," he said, complete with a red heart and clapping hands emoji.

The following day, Blake took to his Instagram stories again to go into further detail on what happened.
"We didn't hear thunder, but we heard a big bang.
"It was not a normal noise you hear on a plane and all of us passengers kind of looked at eachother," he explained.
Blake continued: "G as well as the person in front of us said she saw a big flash.

Blake Horstmann is in a relationship with Giannina Gibelli after the pair met on All Stars Shore.
Giannina shot to fame on Love Is Blind, while Blake is known for his stint on Bachelor Nation shows.
The couple confirmed they were dating in 2022, with them going semi-Instagram official in March of that year.
"I can’t officially post him rn, because we did project together that hasn’t been announced yet," Giannina reportedly responded to a fan who inquired about her photos from a trip.
In June of that year, Giannina then said: "I've never watched the Bachelor franchise or any of that so I didn't know who he was.
"He seemed familiar to me and he just flashed his big ole smile at me and that's how I met him right on the beach."
The couple's relationship has gone from strength-to-strength, with them welcoming their first child last spring, and getting engaged last fall.
"Not long after the pilot got on the intercom and was very calm and told us what happened.
"Yes, the glass is tempered like that and meant to take strikes and hits like that.
"All in all it was scary, but it was handled really well and we know the odds were soooo small that it was just a wild chance," he added.
He then detailed how they were attempting to fly out to California again before sharing a snap and revealing they had "made it".
Blake is engaged to Love Is Blind beauty Giannina Gibelli.
The couple, who got engaged last year, share a son named Heath Orion Horstmann, who was born in March 2024.
