Although the pair have since reconciled, the programme was filmed in the months that followed their shock break-up.

In a clip shared from the upcoming show, Tommy could be seen opening up to his dad about his struggles and dealing with the split in the public eye but he was seemingly shut down by his father.

Tommy could be heard saying: "My life has been absolute torture for the past six months. Horrible.

"Going out in public and getting screamed at and when you go out in public and someone says something, what are you meant to do?

"Tip your head and f***ing walk on."

Tommy then goes on to suggest the reason public opinion of himself is currently low is due to "social media" and the star having a profile.

But he then added: "If you didn't [have a profile], you'd be f***ed.

"So, it's tough. It's just been a constant..."

An unimpressed looking John then soon cuts his son off as he defiantly said: "Yeah, it's not tough."

As Tommy pleaded that it had, John continued to fight back before asking his son: "Has anybody died?

"There's no one dead is there."

Tommy replied: "No one died, but f***ing hell."

John then said: "Your baby's healthy, you live in a nice house, you've got a good car.

"You're flying high, it is your mind taking over you. F*** 'em all!

"Live your life and enjoy what you've got or else you'll never be happy."

The pair then continued to go back and forth before John appeared to get more irate.

He stood up from the table and said to his son: "Come on man, give it a break.

"You're overthinking everything. Get a grip and know your worth and march on forward.

"And we're sat here, 'social media don't like me'.

"Get me out of here!"
