Landeskog will practice with the Eagles on loan Wednesday, with an update on next steps to be announced in the coming days.

Head coach Jared Bednar hinted at this multiple times this week. During Monday’s practice at Family Sports, Bednar said he wouldn’t be opposed to a conditioning assignment and eventually a game in the AHL for Landeskog.

“He’s ramped up his days on the ice, the workload in those days,” He said. “Then we just wait for the next day and re-evaluate and see how he responds. Then we make a plan from there.”

Following Tuesday’s 3-2 shootout victory over the Vegas Golden Knights, Bednar was again asked about Landeskog. This time, specifically about the 32-year-old dressing for the Eagles on Friday. He again wouldn’t rule it out, and repeated “we’ll see.”

Landeskog is not yet scheduled to meet with media, although an update for that could come in the next couple of days.
The Avs’ captain hasn’t played since the team lifted the Stanley Cup in Tampa Bay on June 26, 2022.
