It wasn’t all sunshine and roses for Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy on Southern Charm. Their "toxic" relationship came to a boiling point during the Season 7 reunion, as Austen called his former flame a “monster” after watching the season back.
Soon after Madison made her debut as Austen’s girlfriend in Season 6, a video purporting to show Austen cheating on Madison made the rounds on social media.
“So you walked in, and he’s there with two women, and then one of the women starting videotaping?” Andy Cohen asked of the infamous video on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Austen denied hooking up with the two women, however.
The two had an on-again, off-again romance until 2020, when they called it quits for good. During the Season 7 reunion, there was still a lot of bad blood between the former lovers. Watch the video above to see what they had to say then about their breakup, and read the transcript below.
Austen Kroll talks breakup with Madison LeCroy, calls her a "monster"
Andy Cohen: "Robert from Boston said, 'Madison, do you think you have a tendency to pick guys that allow you to have the upper hand in the relationship?'
Madison LeCroy: "One thousand percent. I'm more of the masculine type, and I tend to date dudes that are more feminine."
John Pringle: "That's why we didn't work out."
Madison laughs.
Andy: "Chris from San Jose said, 'Everyone in Austen's life is telling him to get away from Madison and the two of you are truly a horrible couple. They're in an infinity circle of toxicity.'"
Craig Conover and John laugh.
Austen: "Before, you know, last night, I didn't watch these episodes. And Shep [Rose] looked at me in the face. He said, “You have to watch this, OK?” And my heart just like broke over and over and over again."
Andy: "What did you see that hurt you?"
Austen: "I saw what all my friends have been telling me for years is that she does not f---ing care about me and never f---ing has."
Flashback to Madison having a conversation with her family in Season 7.
Madison's mother: "How's Austen doing?
Madison: (inhales deeply) "Hmm. S---, just lost my appetite."

Austen: "How she treats me and talks about me is so f---ing bad. (voice breaks) I am f---ing done. I'm f---ing done with this human. She is — I can't even look at you. You are like a monster to me. If you didn't have a son, you — your heart — would be nonexistent, and you know it."
Madison: "You're a great actor."
Austen: "You're a monster. (Covering his face with his hands.) You are a f---ing monster."
