Austen Kroll and his girlfriend, Audrey Pratt, recently took an important step in their relationship.
On Season 10, Episode 6, of Southern Charm, Austen and Audrey were in the car on their way to his parents' house. "Are we nervous at all about going to see the parents?" Austen asked his girlfriend, who responded, "Yeah it's just nerve-racking, you know?"
In a confessional, Austen gave more insight into his growing relationship with Audrey and his thought process behind bringing her to meet his family at that particular time.
"A big word that I've been working on with my therapist is 'intentionality,' or the act of being '[intentional],'" Austen said. "And I have intentionally waited four months to bring home Audrey because I don't want to do this to my parents — introduce them to a girl that I might not be that serious about and then they're like, 'Aw, I liked her.'"
Though Audrey was nervous to meet Austen's parents, things went swimmingly when the pair arrived.

While hanging out with Austen's parents, the topic of "grandchildren" came up. Much to Austen's mother's delight, Audrey expressed her interest in having a "big family."
"Audrey wants four [kids]," Austen shared, as his mom gushed, "Oh, that's good!"
"I just want a big family," Audrey confirmed.
"One step at a time," Austen said with a smile.

In a confessional, Austen reflected on what he learned from his other relationships. "Let's just be honest: in the past, I've been addicted to the drama; I've been addicted to the mess," he shared. "Audrey's about as 'go-with-the-flow' as it gets. I mean, I've given her no reason to not be trusting. I really think it comes from me being an open and transparent person to her. Shocker that that's what it takes to make a relationship work, but it's been, like, revelatory."
He added, "There used to be a time when I dated just because I was like, 'Oh, I'm having fun, so I'm just gonna date this person,' with no thought of the future. "
Austen concluded: "Now I'm dating with purpose, so there's that, which I guess is step one."

Though Audrey has finally met Austen's family (and spent time with them over the holidays), the couple aren't getting engaged just yet. "We're not putting pressure on something like that so soon," Austen explained to E! News. "In my opinion, far too early. But we're just having fun and enjoying each other as much as possible."
Additionally, Austen shared a similar sentiment with The Daily Dish in December 2024.
"[At] the moment, we're just reaching a year and we are just focusing on enjoying each other," he revealed.
