Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins Snaps Up $2 Million Georgia Mansion After Transfer From Minnesota Vikings

Legendary NFL quarterback Kirk Cousins scored a plum $2 million pad in Georgia after relocating to the state when he was transferred from the Minnesota Vikings to the Atlanta Falcons in March.

Cousins, 36, who helped to lead his team to an impressive victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, picked up the five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom “custom brick and stone” home in an upscale suburb of Atlanta.

The 6,888-square-foot mansion in Suwanee is about 30 miles north of Atlanta—and about 80 minutes by car from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the Falcons play their home games.

According to Realtor.com® records, Cousins, who shares two sons with his wife, Julie Cousins, closed on the home in April, one month after he signed a four-year contract worth a staggering $180 million with the Falcons.

Given the extraordinary value of his latest contract, it’s not surprising that the sporting superstar, who began his professional career with the Washington Commanders in 2012, paid the asking price for the sprawling abode: $1,999,900.

The property features a wide range of amenities, including access to a private golf club, which boasts a clubhouse, designer course, spa, and sports center with a pool and tennis courts.

The mansion has a two-story entryway and beamed ceilings throughout. Hardwood flooring runs through the home. The primary suite has double closets and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and double vanities.

Living spaces include a large family room, a loft, and an office. The unfinished basement could be set up as a home gym for Cousins.

The kitchen is equipped with stone counters and looks out to the family room and a dining room with a butler’s pantry.

The property features a front porch and a back deck that looks onto a landscaped lawn and a beautiful wooded area.

In May, Cousins sold his home in Grove Heights in Minnesota after leaving the Minnesota Vikings after six seasons.

In March, he signed a four-year, $180 million contract with the Falcons. That month Julie posted on Instagram that they were house hunting in Atlanta. She also said goodbye to Minnesota, writing, “We came to Minnesota 6 years ago when Cooper was just 6 month old and Turner came shortly after!!

“Time flies when you’re having fun! I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped us build our life in Minnesota over the past 6 years. We have the most beautiful memories we will cherish forever!”

In the months since the family relocated to Georgia, Julie has shared several glimpses of their new life in the state. Most recently, she posted images of the updates that she has made to the property, including adding four rocking chairs to the front porch, where she and her family can relax.

Images shared on her Instagram Stories also suggest that the property has undergone an exterior transformation, having received a new coat of paint giving the red-wood beams a classic dark shade.
