Ariana Madix Takes a Stand: Unfollows James Kennedy on Instagram Following Controversial Photo with the Tate Brothers - lulu

The Love Island USA host unfollowed the controversial DJ on Instagram after boasting about meeting the brothers who face human trafficking and r*pe charges.

The DJ formerly on Vanderpump Rules was arrested for domestic violence in December, but no charges were filed.

Ariana isn’t the only person who unfollowed James:

Instagram creator @bravobuds posted Instagram stats proving that James’ popularity has continued to plummet. On average James lost about 233 followers a day for 12 days.

After James posted a pic with the Tate Brothers, James lost 1,734 followers – including Ariana – in a single day.

James apologized for posting a photo with The Tate Bros:

“I regret posting a photo with the Tate brothers at an event last night,” James began his Instagram story apology. 

“I was unfamiliar with their content and the allegations against them. I only knew them as podcasters that had posted a viral clip about Vanderpump. I have since educated myself and condemn their beliefs. I am sorry to all that I offended.” 

James hasn’t fully left the dog house since his domestic violence arrest. Now, keeping the company of two individuals who are on trial for such atrocities is an interesting choice for the VPR alum. 

James and Ariana’s friendship history:

In August 2024, Ariana proved to be a ‘Girl’s Girl’ to James’s then-girlfriend, Ally Lewber who had recently dropped a new song and music video, A Love Story.

Later that month, the DJ supporting the VPR star turned Chicago The Musical actress during her Broadway stint. James even wore a t-shirt of Ariana as Roxie Hart to the show!

The popular DJ took to his Instagram story to share how excited he was of the Dancing With the Stars finalist’s success on stage. “You were so good. I’m so proud of you! I definitely teared up the second you started singing! 🥲 CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏👏”
