Ariana Madix has some frank words of wisdom for the forthcoming cast of Vanderpump Rules Season 12.

ICYMI, in November 2024, news broke that Lisa Vanderpump would be returning to the show along with a cast of new SURvers for the next season.

"Well, I'm excited to see, I guess, how it works. It's such a hard thing to do I think, to put yourself out there," Ariana said during an interview with Extra in March 2025.

As someone who was a main cast member from Seasons 3 through 11, Ariana has an idea of what the newbies will be experiencing once they make their Vanderpump Rules debuts. 

"They have a tough road ahead of them, as, obviously, we've all lived. Anybody who's done that has lived that, and I think they'll be great," she continued about getting used to life in the public eye. "I think they'll have fun."

Ariana went through many major life moments during her time on Vanderpump Rules — from the start of her romance with Tom Sandoval to their breakup nine years later, to her journey from living in an apartment where the air conditioning couldn't run at the same time as the microwave to buying her own home.

"I think I've learned to trust myself," the Something About Her co-owner told Extra about her biggest life lesson from her decade on the show. "I think I've also learned to trust my gut more just in life in general. And I've learned that I can do things that are hard."

What we know about Vanderpump Rules Season 12

As mentioned, in November 2024, an announcement revealed that Lisa will be working with a new crop of SURvers on the twelfth season of Vanderpump Rules.

"Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR — and now TomTom — welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships and frenemies," the announcement read. 

In February 2025, Lisa teased the new cast.

"When you have a restaurant, especially in Hollywood, with a revolving door of beautiful people who are all kinds of normally rather large personalities because they come to Hollywood for a reason, it's always complicated," she told Us Weekly recently. "I am sure it's gonna be very different with these young minxes when they get to work, but we shall see. I got some very interesting characters for sure, but SUR has been around for a very long time, and as I say, it's a show we could have shot 12 months of the year."

She also told TMZ, "I'm not going to disappoint, that's all I can tell you."
