ans Divided Over RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport’s Apology to Husband Todd After Anniversary Trip Drama-quang

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Bronwyn Newport has split fans as they react to the 39-year-old’s public apology to husband Todd Bradley following a drama-filled anniversary trip.

Season 5 Episode 9 of the reality show saw Todd, 69, agree to host a couples’ weekend trip Palm Springs, Florida – but made it clear he wouldn’t tolerate any of the typical tawdriness. After a fight between his wife and castmate Lisa Barlow during the affair, Todd lost it.

Feeling bad about the situation, Bronwyn took to Instagram to post, “I hate that I put you in a position where you were uncomfortable on this trip and not able to be your best self and I hate that I had a part in showing our relationship as anything but what it really is!”

Not willing to take all of the blame, she continued, “Unfortunately, that was not best honored by my girlfriends arguing and my comebacks that only made things worse. I regret my awkward attempts at using self deprecating humor in a toast on such a special night.”

"What I should have said then was: I love Todd deeply, he makes me laugh, he pushes me to be my best and I couldn’t be happier to have him in my life. We have good days, and some bad like most married couples.… but I would choose him every time!” the Housewife sweetly added to conclude the post.

Fans Divided Over RHOSLC's Bronwyn Newport's Apology to Husband

The apology has split fans – some are backing Bronwyn, respecting her “down to earth” response to her husband’s anger and calling her “a breath of fresh air” for her civility, while others don’t think she should be sorry at all, pointing out that Todd should’ve known what he was in for in the first place.

“Didn’t Todd know what the RH was before he agreed to this??!” One user wrote, adding, “Like, did he watch the show first? Unfortunately, if you don’t scream at each other and fight you won’t be asked back! If that’s not you, then don’t do the show.”

Summarizing the events of the episode in Todd’s favor, one user plainly argued the man is no villain for wanting some peace on his vacation: “Todd says: I want to have a nice time with no drama. The ladies start fighting like crazy. Todd says: I’m not up to this shenanigans. Todd is labeled a monster!”

“Leave them alone, it’s their marriage,” they added.

Others had a more severe reaction to Todd getting stern with his wife of 10 years.

“Aww hell NO, no husband of mind will interrupt, humiliate and dismiss me in front of my friends and family, no matter who,” a fuming viewer commented before asking, “Sis, where is your backbone, you better set him straight.”

Another agreed, “She really doesn’t deserve to be spoken to like that.”

“Bronwyn, I COMPLETELY love you. But Todd’s behavior was sooo inapropriate and nasty. Not only to others, but horribly cold to you. He’s actually scary. I CAN’T IMAGINE living a decade of constantly having to skate on thin ice to avoid his wrath,” a particularly shell-shocked fan said.

Continuing to diagnose the situation, they added, “There is zero way I’ll believe, no matter how strong you are, that you don’t live a life of avoiding his boiling, seething ferocity. It is NOT normal, it’s not OK. Do NOT buy into any claims that ‘he’s just being protective’. That behavior is NOT what that is. It is using the threat of rage to control you and everyone around you.”

In the same comment, the user warned, “Your daughter is not safe with any man that behaves that way. He is MENACING and foreboding … You need to leave before your soul has been so trampled on it’s unrecoverable.”
