AnnaSophia Robb returned to the small screen last month in the NBC drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society, in which she plays Alice, a 30-something woman who feels trapped in the small suburban town of Grosse Pointe, MI. Her only escape from the stress of nagging in-laws and her floundering dreams of moving to New York City and becoming a writer? The local Garden Society — and her friends Brett (Ben Rappaport), Catherine (Aja Naomi King), and Birdie (Melissa Fumero).
Six months before the foursome commits a murder and buries an unnamed body beneath their town garden, Alice’s marriage to Doug (Alexander Hodge) begins to fall apart, forcing her to turn to her best friend Brett, gardening, and, of course, Real Housewives for comfort.
After Doug all but warns Brett to back off as he and Alice work through their marital troubles in Episode 4 — which aired Sunday night (March 16) — Brett brushes off Alice’s invitation to watch the Real Housewives together. When Brett says another hangout is probably “not the best idea,” Alice tells him, “It’s the reunion. What are you talking about?”
The importance of a Real Housewives reunion is something only a Bravoholic could understand — and like Alice, Robb told DECIDER that she is indeed a “Bravo fan.” So, what exactly does she watch? The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
“My husband and I watch it together on the couch,” she said when she stopped by our studio last month. “We’re like, ‘Oh, my gosh, can you believe this?’ It’s so much fun.”
Despite Robb’s decades-long career that’s given us iconic projects like Soul Surfer, Bridge to Terabithia, and The Carrie Diaries, she has never been a guest on Andy Cohen‘s late-night talk show Watch What Happens Live. According to Robb, a visit to a Bravo Clubhouse is something she would love to do someday.

“I’m a new, new fan and I really want to be on the show because it seems like the audience is having a great time. It moves so speedy. There’s so much action,” she said. “But you really have to be caught up on all of what’s going on. It’s like you basically just have to be locked in a room watching reality TV, watching Bravo, which we could. We could do that. Yeah, I would sign up for that.”
Someone call Andy, pronto!
New episodes of Grosse Pointe Garden Society air Sunday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
