Even Andy Cohen fell for the fake announcement claiming that Carl Radke was leaving Summer House.

“Carl is not leaving Summer House,” Cohen, 57, confirmed on the Monday, June 9, episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live before sharing how, like many Bravo fans, he was duped by a fake social media post alleging that Radke, 40, would not return for Summer House season 10.

“It’s so crazy ’cause I was with, all day Thursday, I was with the Housewives of Atlanta producers from Truly Entertainment, and we were talking about the next season of Summer House ’cause I believe that was the day Paige [DeSorbo] announced that she was leaving,” he explained. “And they were telling me about the casting and taking me through everybody and people’s connections and this, that and the other, and they told me everybody coming back and, you know, et cetera.”

The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host said that he checked X the following morning and saw that someone had posted what appeared to be an announcement from Radke saying that he was leaving Summer House.

“He was like, ‘I’ve chosen to lead a more mindful, I’m gonna devote myself to a more mindful life,’ and this and that, so it was kind of spoken in Carlese and I was like, ‘Wow, I wonder what happened overnight,’ because that was not what I had heard the day before,” Cohen continued.

However, when he texted Radke about the announcement, the reality star had no idea what Cohen meant.

“So I immediately texted Carl and I said, ‘Hey man, congratulations on a great run,’ and he goes, ‘What are you talking about?’ Now, I’m sure it was jarring for him at eight in the morning to get a thing from me saying, like, ‘Oh, you’re gone. Bye. Congrats,’” Cohen joked.

He continued, “He was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I go, ‘Oh, wait a minute.’ I said, ‘I just saw this thing.’ He goes, ‘What are you talking about?’ I go, ‘Oh, this is making sense because I didn’t think you were leaving.’”

Cohen said he told Radke, “‘There’s a fake announcement. Don’t worry. I’m sure it’ll go away really quickly.’ But I think that’s what made him deny it. I felt so bad.”

The fake announcement, which claimed to be written by Radke, began circulating on Facebook and spread across social media platforms on June 6.

“After much thought and reflection, I’ve decided not to return to Summer House for the upcoming season,” the message read. “This show has been a huge part of my life for the past nine years, and I am incredibly grateful for the experiences, the growth, and the relationships it’s brought into my world. Sharing my life so publicly hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned a lot about myself — and I hope I’ve helped others along the way too.”

However, Radke confirmed to Us Weekly that the post wasn’t real and shared that he would be returning for Summer House’s upcoming season.

“I look forward to spending the summer in the Hamptons with my friends,” he said in a statement to Us on Friday. “I will very much be a part of season 10!”

Radke has starred on Summer House since season 1, which premiered in 2017. His best friend Kyle Cooke and ex-fiancée Lindsay Hubbard have both also hinted that they’re returning for season 10, while DeSorbo, 32, recently announced her exit after seven years on the show.
