Andy Cohen Strikes Deal on Unique West Village Apartment After $2 Million Price Drop—Buyer Found - lulu

Bravo legend Andy Cohen has found a buyer for his one-of-a-kind New York City condo.

Cohen's fellow reality TV star and close friend Ryan Serhant of "Owning Manhattan" announced on his Instagram stories on Monday, May 19, that the sprawling Manhattan property is under contract, eight months after it hit the market.

In September 2024, the four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom West Village apartment was listed for $14 million, and then the price was slashed by $2 million in February.

Over the past 21 years, Cohen had bought up four separate apartment units that he combined to create his 3,500-square-feet dream home.

Why Andy Cohen is selling his dream home

Cohen revealed that he made the decision to put his home on the market because he wanted to find one that offered outdoor space—something he found when he purchased another place in the West Village for $18 million.

Along with a 3,000-square-foot interior, his new apartment offers an amazing 2,000-square-foot terrace.

"Outdoor space was the decision! I always have coveted outdoor space," Cohen revealed to People magazine. "There is a dearth of inventory in the West Village with outdoor space, so when I found something that was meaningful enough for me to leave my dream apartment ... that's what it took."

Serhant, founder of Serhant., admitted that he all but begged his friend to allow him to list his West Village apartment when the time came for him to sell.

"The first time I ever walked into Andy's apartment, I said, 'Whenever you are willing to part with this, even if I have to pull it from your grip, please let me know. Because it's a one of one," Serhant told the New York Times.

"It’s one of those treasures that you wait your whole career for, to find something like this that you get to bring to market and sell," he said.

When Serhant announced the home was under contract on May 19, he wrote on Instagram: "Congrats @bravoandy. Thanks for trusting me and @serhant with your home."

Inside Andy's incredible abode

According to reports, Cohen collaborated with architect Gordon Kahn to combine the original units he'd purchased plus an additional two studio units into one grand duplex. His spread also has spectacular views of two iconic Manhattan landmarks, the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building.

Color dominates many rooms, from the blues and greens in the living areas to the cobalt blue bespoke cabinets in the kitchen.

There's also a lacquer-red powder room entry and a royal purple rug on the floor of the primary suite.

Cohen's chic dwelling boasts amenities found in very few other New York City apartments. Those rarities include wood-burning fireplaces, a steam room, and ample closets, along with three storage units.

The main bedroom features a fireplace and an en suite bathroom with a teak tub, marble vanity, and steam shower.

But the most stunning aspect of the home just might be the custom staircase made from walnut, steel, and glass, designed by Kahn.
