Andy Cohen Spills the Beans: 'WWHL' Host Admits to Being 'So High on an Edible' During Surprise Backstreet Boys Onstage Performance - lulu

Andy Cohen was living his best life when the Backstreet Boys pulled him onstage during their Las Vegas concert back in 2018. But according to Cohen, the music wasn’t the only thing he was high on that night.

During Tuesday night’s (Oct. 29) Watch What Happens Live: After Show, Cohen revealed that he was “high on an edible” when AJ McLean grabbed him from the audience and brought him onstage.

The conversation started when a fan asked actress Sara Foster about the time she starred in the music video for “Shape of My Heart” by the Backstreet Boys. While her role didn’t exactly live up to the same fame as Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith’s “Crazy” music video, she did share some fond memories from meeting the boy band.

“They were so nice. But I think because of my dad, they were all very respectful. I was like, ‘No, you don’t need to be respectful. It’s fine,'” she said, referring to her music producer dad David Foster. “I would’ve taken any of them. But they were so respectful. I was like, ‘No!’”

The star also recalled the “crazy” audition process, telling Cohen, “You would think I was auditioning for a Scorsesemovie. I auditioned 70,000 times.”

While they were on the topic, Cohen had his own story to share about “Shape of My Heart.”

“I saw them in Vegas years ago and they called me up onstage during that song and I was going nuts,” he said. “They gave me a mic to sing with them and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not —’ I was so high on an edible, too.”

The Bravo icon previously spoke about the once-in-a-lifetime experience during an October 2018 episode of his Andy Cohen Live radio show.

“I have to say, being serenaded by the Backstreet Boys, it was — I’m surprised I restrained myself as much as I did,” he said at the time. “And I’m so glad I didn’t jump up and down like a young girl, which is how I felt and what I felt like doing. I wanted to. I was just very excited.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
