Andy Cohen's Breakfast Banter with Ben: A Hilarious Exchange Where Winning Seems Impossible - lulu

Andy Cohen is living with one tough — but very adorable — food critic.

This was proven again on Saturday, January 18, when the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared a funny exchange with his son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. The moment went down at the family’s West Village home after Andy cooked Ben a plate of eggs for breakfast. And although it was immediately revealed that the 5-year-old boy had specifically requested the dish, he told his dad he wasn’t quite satisfied with the meal.

“You asked me for eggs and then you didn’t eat them,” Andy told his son, who was off-camera. “I thought they were good. What’s wrong with them?”

Ben said he didn’t like the egg’s texture — an issue he raised a couple of months ago.

“I tasted them and they were too soft,” the little boy explained.

“They were too soft? They’re hard eggs,” Andy insisted. “OK… maybe I just shouldn’t make those eggs anymore, right? Should I not make you eggs anymore? I think these are very good.”

“Well, we have different taste,” Ben said, causing his dad to chuckle.

“OK, I’m gonna give up the egg-making and stick to cereal,” Andy said.

Ben then informed his dad he knew how to make a bowl of cereal himself.

“I did know that. That’s good. So then you can make cereal," Andy said at the end of the video, which he captioned: “Ben vs Daddy’s Eggs: Part Deux (spoiler alert: I cannot win).”

Andy discusses 2025 plans with his son, Ben, and daughter, Lucy

The breakfast debate occurred just weeks after the WWHL host shared another adorable look at his life as a single dad. Andy posted a December 31, 2024, Instagram Reel in which he told Ben and his 2-year-old daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen, to share their New Year’s resolutions.

The St. Louis native asked his kids to name some “fun” activities they wanted to do in 2025. And, to no one’s surprise, the answers were amusing.

“Something fun? Not going to camp,” Ben said before his sister said she wanted to go “running.”
