The married Summer House cast members are telling all about the current status of their marriage amid split rumors.
Whatever the chatter may be out there, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are here to confirm that their marriage is now stronger than ever. Although the married couple did have their arguments throughout Summer House Season 8, there is no need to worry about them — they are all good.
The couple addressed the status of their marriage in a recent interview and admitted that if there were something wrong, fans would probably be able to catch on. "I feel like everyone would know if something was truly going on," Amanda said during a joint interview with Entertainment Tonight on Oct. 26 at the baby shower for Lindsay Hubbard.
"I don't know if we've ever been able to keep anything a secret, and I think people read us like an open book...the main thing is that I'm normally seen without my wedding ring on, and I forgot to put it on again today," she continued. "It's not intentional! I just forget! But it means nothing, I promise you."
Kyle added it's easy for "people read between lines that don't exist if that makes sense" if their relationship isn't constantly playing out for the public, pointing out in the interview that he was, in fact, wearing his wedding band. "They're just looking for something, and it is what it is," he said.
Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula say there are "no plans" to have kids, yet
Despite everything going well between them, Amanda and Kyle revealed that they're in no rush to start having kids. Especially since Amanda has been busy developing her swimsuit line, while Kyle has been very occupied with his canned beverage line, Loverboy, and his blossoming DJ career. "We're busy," Amanda admitted. "We're booked and busy."
"No, no plans to have kids, yet," she continued. "We know we want them, eventually, but I feel like we have so much going on, right now, that we're kind of hitting our stride in a few things and it'll happen."
"We have a lot going on," Kyle agreed. "Loverboy is my full-time job. And I know that when I'm a dad, I don't want to be like an absentee dad. So I'm kind of getting all the travels and all the hard work hopefully, under my belt, and out of the way by the time we are ready."
Amanda Batula reveals timeline for moving to New Jersey
Throughout Summer House Season 8, Kyle and Amanda heavily discussed the idea of moving to New Jersey to start a family. In an interview with The Daily Dish in October 2024, Amanda revealed that she and Kyle are still living in Manhattan and looking for a new apartment in the city that they can grow into.
"Right now that's sort of what we're focused on," she explained. "But there is no pressure. According to Kyle, he has been looking. So when the right place comes up, we'll snatch it. Otherwise, we'll have to wait when the pressures on and we [have] to move out. But right now we're in our same spot...We'll probably continue living in the city for a little while longer."
"I will get that house in New Jersey, though, don't worry," she added. "Just later. At some point, just not yet. I'll be there, don't worry."
