"Amanda Batula Jokes About 'Tricking' Kyle Cooke into Having Kids"-quang

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have struggled with their plans for the future throughout Summer House Season 8. Whereas the Loverboy founder doesn’t want to change their fast-paced New York City lifestyle, Amanda is yearning for a home in the suburbs and a family.

Kyle wants the duo to be fully prepared for children, and the quarrels of late are adding to his stress. Amanda just wants to feel heard and have her husband home on weeknights. They filmed a couples therapy session during the most recent episode and got advice to avoid being reactionary to past hurts.

It’s good that they are working to communicate and hopefully find a solution. But just in case Amanda is still butting heads with her husband on the issue of children, the Bravolebrity joked that she had one trick up her sleeve to get her the family she hopes for.

Amanda knows that Kyle “wants” to be a father

“I think it’ll be a situation where I’m just going to have to, like, trick him into getting me pregnant, and then he’s going to thrive once it happens,” the reality TV star exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, April 10.

“But if you ask him when he is ready, he’s always going to say no,” she said of her husband, with whom she tied the knot in September 2021. Amanda added that Kyle’s attitude towards having children now lines up with his decision-making regarding other life events.

“I think Kyle has historically always felt that he needed everything lined up, [whether] it was getting married, getting engaged, getting an apartment. [With] everything, he’s always felt he needed to be 100 percent ready for [it and] prepared,” she explained. “Even with our dogs, he was so hesitant, and now that we have them, everything is great.”

What’s the next step?

But Amanda has seen her husband interacting with younger family members and feels that the Summer House party boy “wants” to be a father.

“He has a much younger niece and nephew that he’s been an uncle to,” she revealed. “They’re older now, but I’ve seen him with them when they were younger, and he’s so great. He meets my friends’ kids, and he’s such a natural holding them and just goes right in for it where I’m nervous. So, he’s going to be an amazing father. We just got to get him fully on board.”

Amanda shared her fertility plans, which include “probably” “looking into” freezing embryos.

“I’m turning 33 this summer. I’m not getting any younger. We were just with some friends who were a little older, and they were like, ‘Just freeze your embryos now just so you have them,’” she said. “And it made me really nervous thinking about, ‘OK, I can have kids right now, but this is the time I have to prepare for the future depending on what happens.’”
