As The Real Housewives of Orange County fans know, Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are now engaged. However, before he popped the question, John was already making bold declarations about their future.
During the Season 18 finale, which aired on October 31, John and Alexis sat down for a confessional, where John declared he planned to be with Alexis forever.
"I've never been more confident of anything in my life," he told a producer. "We will be together for the rest of our lives."
John and Alexis' conversation happened after Alexis told Tamra Judge that she and John had gone ring shopping.
"I think it's actually coming up very soon," she said of a potential engagement. "He's so amazing."
In a solo confessional, she added more: "There's just something that I have with this man that is unbelievable."

Alexis was right that a proposal was just around the corner — John ended up officially popping the question in August 2024, just nine months after they started dating, while visiting the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.
"On Cloud 9, celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you," Alexis wrote in a post hinting at the news, later confirming that she was indeed engaged. "Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together. And the answer is 100000000% yes."

Alexis confirmed that she was dating John on Christmas Day in 2023.
In the months after making their relationship public, the couple spoke openly about their love for each other — including how much they make each other laugh and their success blending their families. Alexis has three kids: twins, Miles and Mackenna, and a son, James, and John is the father to three adults.
"We've acclimated all of our families together, including dogs," Alexis told The Daily Dish in July. "We are moving in a direction of being in it for the long haul. So, it's exciting."

In September, Alexis stopped by Bravo HQ and showed off her stunning engagement ring.
"It's a cushion," Alexis shares in the video above. "We've both been married before, so, obviously, we eliminated those shapes from our selection process and this is what we chose."
She added about the sparkler, "This was my favorite...It's definitely a wow-zer, so I'm definitely very blessed."
