POP beauty Alesha Dixon has rekindled her relationship with the dad of her two kids after a “really rocky patch”.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 46, had previously confided to pals she was splitting from her partner of 12 years, Azuka Ononye.
She had said they would remain under the same roof to keep a sense of normality for the kids.
But it is now believed that the close living proximity has helped the couple to reignite their romance and they are now doing “all it takes” to try to make it work.
A close source said: “They went through a really rocky patch and decided to call it a day. It had been difficult for a long time and Alesha just couldn’t see a way forward.
“AZ even moved out to a hotel for a while, despite the fact they were co-parenting.
“But there is still a huge amount of feeling between them. They’ve been together for 12 years and have two beautiful children.
“So they have decided to give it one last try.
"They both desperately want to be a family again and are going to do all it takes to make it work.
“But Alesha’s friends aren’t convinced it will last. Ultimately, none of their problems have been fixed, so it’s going to be tough.”
Previously Alesha had been spotted on a girls’ break in Jamaica as she tried to navigate the rough patch with Azuka, 44.
Over the weekend, he posted a video on Instagram of their eldest daughter at a bowling alley.
Former Mis-Teeq singer Alesha and Azuka met following her brief marriage to So Solid Crew rapper MC Harvey who she divorced in 2006 after his affair with singer Javine Hylton.
Choreographer and creative director Azuka was hired as a dancer for her singing tour.
Talking about their relationship, Alesha had said she “played hard to get” before suffering an injury that Azuka nursed her through.
She added: “I had a foot operation and I couldn’t walk. He was literally sleeping on the floor, looking after me every day. I was looking at him thinking, ‘That is for better or for worse isn’t it?’.”
Alesha is currently filming the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
Saturday’s first semi was criticised by some viewers after unexpected winners and losers.
