Their on/off relationship has played out on the past few series of TOWIE and the upcoming series 36 is set to be no different as viewers will get to see the aftermath of Ella Rae Wise and Dan Edgar’s split after she dumped him before appearing on Celebrity Big Brother.
A teaser trailer for the new series showed the pair discussing the breakdown of their relationship as Dan admitted, ‘I don’t feel like I fully put in the full effort in because I wasn’t sure of the long term and I don’t think she was putting the effort in the other way.’
Ella can also be shaking her head when asked by Sophie Kasaei if things with Dan are ‘done’ and ahead of the new series, she’s opened up about their ‘unfinished business’.
Speaking at the ITV Reality showcase last week, Ella was asked where things stand with Dan and replied, ‘Confusion. Potentially a lot of unfinished business. It all unfolds on the new series.
‘There’s a lot of speculation that has been cleared up. But it is good, and it’s probably ended the best way it could have ended.’
Speaking exclusively to Closer, she added, ‘[It’s] very emotional. You’ll see me cry a lot, not that you’ve not seen me cry enough already. I didn’t know I had any tears left.’
When asked how she feels about Dan now, Ella continued, ‘It’s very amicable. Listen, it’s a really upsetting situation to be in because we both hold still a hell of a lot of love for each other, a hell of a lot of care for each other, it just doesn’t work. If it’s meant to be, maybe one day, but at the minute it’s best off where it is.
‘I want to focus on myself. Ever since I was 15 I’ve been in and out of relationships, now it’s time for me to be on my grind, make my money, make sure my career goes the way I want and if a fella comes along it’s a bonus, but I’m not looking for it.’
