Bachelor Nation host Jesse Palmer declares “it’s time to party” in Us Weekly’s exclusive first-look at season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise.
In addition to glimpses of confessional interviews from Kat Izzo, Hakeem Moulton and Bailey Brown, the first teaser from the upcoming season, which dropped on Tuesday, June 17, may share insight into one of the show’s couples as Spencer Connley and Jess Edwards can been seen dancing in the rain. Jess, 26, previously told Us on set in Costa Rica ahead of filming that she was hoping Spencer, 32, would be on the beach.
“There’s a few people that I do want to meet here. My No. 1 is definitely Spencer from Jenn’s season,” Jess said. “The golden retriever energy. I think he’s so cute!”
The voiceover in the trailer also teases a “new beach” (the show moved from Mexico to Costa Rica for season 10) and “new challenges.” While a quick look at a game hosted by bartender Wells Adams is reminiscent of the Bachelor Pad days, Us asked several beachgoers which other reality TV show they would want the ABC show to take a cue from for season 10 if there was any sort of twist (a la season 8’s Love Island Casa Amor twist).

“I’m a big Survivor and Traitors fan. Let’s have a little game show aspect,” Spencer told Us.
Dale Moss had a similar thought process, saying, “I think The Challenge would be cool. I’ve watched that many times just through close friends. That’d be a fun one.”
Zoe McGrady, meanwhile, is solely focused on the love aspect. “We could take a twist and do Married at First Sight. … That’s the point, right? We’re supposed to get engaged in a few weeks. Why not get married?” she asked. “If it’s the right person, I’m open.”
Tuesday’s teaser also shows the arrival of “The Goldens” — a.k.a. the 10 stars from The Golden Bachelor and Bachelorette who are making history as the first senior contestants on the spinoff.
“Oh look it, I got my inner knees done. They’re reformed!” April Kirkwood says.
The jury is still out on whether the Golden stars will be dating their fellow seniors or also exploring connections with the traditional Bachelor/Bachelorette stars, but Wells was hopeful for at least one age-gap romance.
“This happens all the time in the real world. Look at Bill Belichick right now. It’s happening in front of us,” he said. “I don’t know if it will, but I think it’ll be cool to have the Goldens around. The thing that I love about The Golden Bachelor so much is they’ve lived so much more life that their advice, their conversations, the stakes for them are just so much bigger. I think that’ll be a good thing for them to impart on all these young kids.”
