LOVE Island has been engulfed in a new ‘fix’ row as fans insisted producers are meddling in one of the couples.
It was confirmed that one former ITV2 contestant in this series is set to make a dramatic return to the long-running dating show.
On Love Island, Shakira Khan is supposed to be very happy in a couple with Conor Phillips.
However, he expressed that she might be putting up walls within the confines of their relationship on Love Island.
She later admitted in the morning that she was battling "suppressed emotions," when it comes to Harry Cooksley.
This was after the professional footballer became closed off after he made his partnership with Helena Ford 'exclusive.'
Shakira admitted: "I'm trying, but it doesn't help that Harry and Helena are in my face all the time.
"Because I'm constantly battling suppressed emotions and it's not like I want to act on it."
She added: "If I put all my cards on the table with Harry, he would act on it. The exclusive doesn't mean jack s***."
It was previously confirmed that Conor's villa ex, Megan Forte Clarke, would be returning to the villa.
Many viewers have grown suspicious of the timing as Conor and Shakira's relationship faces problems.
They allege that producers have had a role in the apparent breakdown of the fledgling romance as they took to social media in droves.
On X - formerly known as Twitter - one fan wrote: "This episode feels so manufactured, Conor coincidentally doubting his feelings towards Shakira and Megan surprisingly turning up ?? I hate the producers."
A second stated: "The producers are defo setting up for Conor to go back to Megan once she’s back in the villa. What have they got against Shakira when Meg and Helena are right there."
While a third claimed: "Megan was only brought in to shake up Shakira and Conor and I think that’s very unfair,"
As a fourth user wrote: "The producers seeing Shakira not fancying Conor the day before they create a love triangle by sending Megan in."
And a fifth added: "100% fixed and a complete joke bringing back Megan."
Love Island continues on ITV2 and is available to stream on ITVX.
